(1939 – 1986) 10×8“ Colour NASA lithograph “Dora/Very Best/wishes/Dick Scobee” . Francis R. “Dick” Scobee was part of the five-man crew aboard the Challenger 41-C mission (April 6-13, 1984), during which a satellite was repaired in orbit for the first time. On January 28, 1986, Scobee, the Commander, and his six colleagues were killed when Challenger 51-L exploded 73 seconds after liftoff. Lightly creased at corners. The item has two date stamps, one for the first mission (6th April) and one for the 2nd (28th January). It also contains a stamp of the STS crew names and light stamp to the corner indicating the 7 astronauts were killed during the mission. With Steve Zarelli COA
