Mahatma Gandhi (1869 - 1948). A boldly signed approximately 3x1`` piece by Mahatma Gandhi, in mauve fountain pen ink, ‘M.K. Gandhi.’ Neatly trimmed from a letter. A light fold close to signature, otherwise in fine condition. A good, neat example, slightly rushed, likely from the 1930s. Gandhi was an Indian lawyer, anti-colonial nationalist who employed non violent to lead the successful campaign for India's independence from British rule and in turn inspired movements for civil rights and freedom across the world.
