Gustaf Eiffel (1832 - 1923) . French civil engineer and architect. He is best known for the world-famous Eiffel Tower, built for the 1889 Universal Exposition in Paris, France. Autograph letter signed “G. Eiffel”. 1p., 8.25 x 4.75 inch, n.p., 29 April (1911?). To meteorologist Charles Goutereau. In French, in full: “…le rapport de Comité Aéronautique qui est très intéressant. Donnez les renseignements à Rion pour se le procurer, ou bien faites le vous meme. Je voudrais bien avoir aussi la Traduction littérale des notes de Laucherder (?) P. 33 à 36 avec la fig(ure) l qui confirme bien nos donnèes, et de lord Rayleigh sur la Similitude…”. Translated: “…the report of the Aeronautical Committee which is very interesting. Give the information to Rion to get it, or do it yourself. I would like to have also the literal translation of the notes of Laucherder (?) P. 33 to 36 with the fig (ure) l which confirms our data well, and of Lord Rayleigh on the Similarity… ”.
