Andy Warhol and Mick Jagger Mini Folio 1975 – Rare

£2,000.00

Mick Jagger Mini Folio, 1975 (unsigned).  First with no printed signature. Andy Warhol Publisher’s Prospectus Jointly published by Multiples, Inc. (Marian Goodman) and Castelli Graphics, 1975 Unlimited edition (unknown number of copies). Ten individual 6 ¼” x 4” cardstock sheets printed offset (also known as offset lithographs) in color on the front and back, placed into a 6 ¼” x 8” portfolio (neatly folded in half). Issued to promote a portfolio of 10 variant serigraphs (also known as silkscreens) of Mick Jagger. Sourced from Multiples Denmark who had these authenticated by David Platzker MOMA, Richard Polsky Art Authentication. It’s the very rare first edition that was printed before the artists had signed the REAL edition that is 110 cm high… 🙂  Therefore 2 different editions exist. One WITH PRINTED signatures and one with NO PRINTED signatures. Castelli Graphics stored the first edition with NO printed signatures, and they were later sold on auction to a single buyer – Mr. David Platzker now curator at MOMA. Please note that this rare first edition is more bluish in the paper. All printed in 1975. Rare.
