(1928 – 2020) Vice-president of the Arab Republic of Egypt at the time of the assassination of Anwar el-Sadat, he succeeded him as president on October 14, 1981 and remained in power until his forced resignation on February 11, 2011, as a result of the Egyptian revolution. In June 2012, he was sentenced to life in prison for murder, but the courts ordered his conditional release in August 2013. Very rare 18 x 25 cm photo signed in Arabic by the statesman in the 1980s.
